Office Summer – Proud Sponsors of Brighton Marathon

Office Summer are delighted to announce we will be sponsoring the half way point for the brand new Brighton Marathon taking place for the first time on Sunday 18th April 2010.

The Office Summer team will be at Brighton Marathon in force cheering on the athletes, making plenty of noise with motivational music and a huge arch to celebrate the half way point. The Brighton Marathon route takes a tour of the beautiful Victorian city centre before heading for the coastline, visiting towns from Rottingdean to Portslade and returning to the city centre to cross the finish line.

The Perfect Pimms

A cool glass of delicious Pimms really is the perfect drink for a hot summer’s afternoon. Here’s a classic recipe to get you started, watch this space for some fun alternatives too!

Pimms


1. Take a large cocktail jug and fill 3/4 with ice
2. Add 250ml of Pimms and 750ml of lemonade
3. Add chopped cucumber, mint, orange and strawberries
4. Stir and serve in chilled glasses

Party of the Week – The Great British Seaside

Enjoy a contemporary, fun and stylish interpretation of the best of vintage seaside, quirkily brought to London, as we unveil: ‘Vogue does Brighton’!

Arrive to wooden beach huts on pier pontoon dotted with deck chairs and sand castles. As guests aboard the Silver Sturgeon they will be greeted by sand-filled vases with shells and St Eval rope-bound Sea Salt fragrance candles. Once aboard guests have three delightful seaside areas to explore.

Ensign Room

Six booth tables displaying sand-filled vases with shells. Pink Lemonade, Ginger Beer, Orange Jigger and Dandelion & Burdock in glass bottles on shelves behind the bar. Linen vintage‘postcard cushions’ on leather bench by entrance to BBQ Deck.

River Room

Bunting of large flags above dance floor and giant helium-filled coloured balloon bunches lining the staircase. Vintage ‘postcard sign’ pointing to upper deck.

Top Deck

Whitstable Oyster buckets filled with pebbles and seashore plants either sides of doors. Linen vintage ‘postcard cushions’ on bench seating.

Party of the Week – Adventures in Wonderland

Celebrate the launch of the latest Tim Burton masterpiece Alice in Wonderland, in cinemas 5th March 2010, and book a fantastical Adventures in Wonderland themed corporate summer party!

Alice in Wonderland

This summer, enter a fairytale world with a spectacular Adventures in Wonderland themed corporate summer party.

As guests arrive to the enchanting summer party venue they will be greeted by ‘Tweedle Dum’ and ‘Tweedle Dee’. A photographer will be on hand to capture guests’ arrival before they enter the venue space through the magic rabbit hole.

Cocktails will be served in tea cups in a reception space adorned with giant cupcakes.

Guests will enjoy a delicious buffet meal including BBQ meats and vegetables with plenty of salads and sides, all hosted by the Mad Hatter himself who will bring the party atmosphere to life with a live acrobatic show.

Speeches follow (if required) before your corporate summer event concludes with dancing on the black and white chequer-board dance-floor.

An hour before kick-off a delicious two course buffet will be served which can be enjoyed standing or seated.

As guests take their seats for the match, drinks waiters will take orders so that guests won’t miss a second of the action.

Optional extras include providing unlimited drinks for guests or drinks wrist-bands which can control the number of drinks each guests will be entitled to.

Foosball tables could also be arranged around the room with human table-football games and other themed summer party activities situated outside.
